Great idea in theory, and honestly the "what works for Ghost should work for WordPress too" logic makes sense on the surface since both are CMS platforms.
The short answer is that PayGlue is built specifically around Ghost's Admin API, which gives direct, clean control over membership access. WordPress/WooCommerce works very differently, there's no single unified membership API to hook into, it's more of a plugin ecosystem where every setup looks different depending on which membership plugin you're running.
Building something reliable for WordPress would essentially mean rebuilding the whole thing for a completely different architecture, rather than just porting what exists.
Ghost's focused membership model is actually what makes this approach work cleanly. That said, noted as a signal that the core problem (payment provider flexibility for CMS memberships) is bigger than just the Ghost niche.
