Lemon Squeezy subscriptions now end when the paid period ends

When a reader cancelled a Lemon Squeezy subscription, the cancellation could be ignored, because Lemon Squeezy uses the same id for every event of one subscription and we took a later event for a repeat of the first. The reader then kept access after the subscription was over. Each event is now recognised on its own. A cancellation also no longer takes access away straight away: the reader has paid until the end of the period and keeps access until then, and the expiry at the end of the period ends it. A cancellation with immediate effect still ends access at once.

  • Cancellations and expiries are no longer mistaken for duplicates
  • Access runs until the end of the paid period, then ends with the expiry
  • Enable subscription_expired on your Lemon Squeezy webhook, see the Lemon Squeezy guide
  • Shipped in PayGlue-OS v0.9.8, thanks to a private report
